Buyer backed out of deal 30 min before meet up time on a rainy day. Claimed that his/her mum doesn't want item anymore , which is fine, but shouldn't mummy dearest interest be checked first before deal is confirmed?

1. I told the seller I'm not confirm since i don't know if it's authentic or not. 2. Seller claims that bike is Airwalk brand but doesn't have any prove because he 'remove' the metal branding. 3. I saw the same seller on Facebook selling the same bike but this time he says it's either Airwalk or Purefix brand,which in this case means he lied to me by telling me that it's authentic Airwalk. 4. I don't associate myself with someone conning me.
